The location is somewhat isolated, you need to go through the sea gypsy village to get to the hotel (the hotel can not be reached by sea on low tide). To get to the jungle is only a few steps away, and wildlife is always present on many forms. I liked this but your mileage may vary. The Staff is very friendly.
The hotel beach is not actually very good for anything besides watching crabs, slugs etc. on low tide one can not reach the hotel with a longtail boat, the shore is not deep enough for that. even with a high tide it's not good for swimming etc. However, you can get snorkelling directly from the hotel and the main Koh Mook beaches are easily reachable within few minutes by the local 'taxi', which costs practically nothing. We usually like that the hotel needs to have a beach near, but here it was not an issue. If you're only into luxury stuff this might not be the best choice for you, but if you want to see some local life - both human and animal life - this place is worth considering.

Food was great, Ratchata & co made me feel like family. Traditional dance was fun.

If you accept that there is no beach or pool at the Resort and start from that point there is little to find fault with. Rooms are comfortable and good value. Free wifi in public areas. Free bikes available to bike to Charlies on other side of island where there is an excellent beach. There is also a nice beach within walking distance. Dinner menu wide, food delicious and not expensive. There are local restaurants (one nearby and more near Charlies). Normally we would try one or more of these, for fun and because they are cheaper, but we were too happy with the Resort restaurant food and atmosphere to bother. Staff often put on Thai dancing display at night. Very friendly place - guests chatting to each other etc.
Having to ask for clean towels on day 4 and still not getting them - room was cleaned every day but for some reason our towels were not changed at all (other guests did not have this problem). Breakfast (included) was good but never hot (including the eggs). Wish they would have done Thai ommelettes on demand which we have had at other resorts - their Chefs are certainly good enough.

Sek, who organizes trips and other things for guests of the resort and does his job very, very well. Of course the island is very beautiful, too. And the food in the resort's restaurant is fine...

Had very nice time here, lovely setting, best food so far in Thailand! Clean and tidy for a budget hotel, smiling faces everywhere.

We thought that the price should be okey, but not!
Warning Warning!!! bad service and dirty room, told them that the toilet on room was dirty but they didn´t clean anyway. bad staff, really unpolite and hysteric. tried to fool us with lower catergory then we booked. really bad hygien on the breakfast. a lot of flies all over the food. they said that they could do new breakfast for us, when we asked if it was okey to look into the kitchen they refused. enviroment was dirty all over the resort and beach. We have stayed on approximatly 50 hotels in Thailand, nothing like this shit!!!

Very good breakfasts. Close to the village.
The beach is not useful at all. The nearest beach is too far. A lot of ants in the room
